Before you book: scan types and directory coverage
Two scan types. Different questions.
Body composition measures fat and lean tissue. Diagnostic bone density assesses bone mineral density at specific sites. A whole-body composition scan does not automatically include a diagnostic hip and spine assessment.
We look for published evidence of the scan type at the named location. Each listing links to its sources and shows what still needs confirming. Prices are dated examples, not live quotes or a promise of Medicare eligibility. This research was checked on 26 September 2026.
