Email updates
When you subscribe, your email address and selected update topic are sent to Bento to manage the emails you requested. You can unsubscribe using the link in any update. Bento may process subscriber data overseas. Scan measurements, tracker entries and location coordinates are not included in signup requests.
Information entered into the tracker
The tracker starts empty. Values entered there remain in the current browser session unless you choose “Remember my entries on this device”. That option saves the values in your browser’s local storage.
The tracker does not send your entries to us or a clinic. Other people using the same browser profile may be able to see saved entries. You can remove individual entries or clear the record.
Preferences, guide search and calendar reminders
Scanner and city choices can be remembered in local browser storage. Guide and directory searches run on your device. Search terms, reference-table values and calculator inputs are not sent to us.
The directory requests your location only when you choose Use my location. Coordinates are used in browser memory for approximate distance sorting and are cleared when you leave or reload the page. We do not receive or store those coordinates. Your browser or operating system handles the location request. Comparison choices stay on the current page.
Choosing Map + list loads map tiles from OpenStreetMap. That service receives your IP address and the map area requested, under the OpenStreetMap Foundation privacy policy. We do not send your location coordinates to the map service. External directions links open the clinic address in Google Maps.
A calendar download contains a generic follow-up reminder and a link to this site, without scan measurements. Nothing is emailed or booked. Your calendar provider handles any event you choose to import under its own privacy settings.
Links to providers
Booking links take you to the provider’s website. The provider handles any information you submit there under its own privacy policy. DEXA Scans does not automatically pass your tracker entries to that provider.
Website operation
The site does not use advertising pixels. Hosting services may process standard connection information, such as an IP address, to serve pages and operate the service.
DEXA Scans Australia is published by Foundlab (Amplify Group Talent, ABN 16 678 090 134). Editor: Dan d'Auvergne. The website is hosted on Vercel. We do not collect scan values. Correction emails are used only to review the correction and reply.
Google Analytics and cookies
What we use: Google Analytics 4 counts visits, pages viewed, STRIVE booking clicks, directory provider clicks, PDF downloads and clicks to email or call. It loads only after you choose Accept. A booking click does not tell us whether an appointment was booked.
What it collects: pages viewed, device and browser type, approximate city-level location and how you arrived at the site. We do not send names, email addresses or phone numbers to Google Analytics. Calculator inputs, search queries and URL parameters are not sent.
Cookies: after you opt in, Google Analytics sets first-party _ga and _ga_<ID> cookies. Your choice is saved in local browser storage as fl_consent for 12 months. Advertising storage, advertising user data and advertising personalisation remain disabled. Google Signals is disabled.
Your choice: use Cookie settings in the footer to accept, decline or withdraw consent at any time. Declining keeps Google Analytics off. Withdrawing stops analytics requests and deletes its _ga cookies.
